‘Tis the season to be baking…fa la la la la la la la la. The holiday season is my favorite time of year to bake because it means I get to make some plant-based versions of my favorite conventional (and unconventional) holiday treats! I promise, your friends and family will never know that these cookies are plant-based.

Here are a few of few of my favorite tried-and-true, plant-based holiday cookie recipes.

Roundup of the best plant-based holiday cookie recipes

I’m ALL about the peppermint + chocolate combo. These chocolate candy cane cookie sandwiches remind me drinking hot cocoa that I stirred with a candy cane…in cookie form! Does it get any better than that?

Danish Butter Cookies

My grandmother used to make us danish butter cookies every single year. On the hunt for a plant-based version, I stumbled upon this recipe and I was blown away! You’d never know there wasn’t actual butter in these cookies.

Sugar Cookies

There’s something particularly fun about baking Christmas-themed sugar cookies. And how fun to make them into Christmas tree shapes?  Just cut them out, frost them with green frosting, and sprinkle on some green glitter sprinkles!

Chocolate Raspberry Rugelach

I love love love rugelach cookies! These are especially delicious because the filling is chocolate-raspberry…which is the best. I love pairing chocolate with fruit in baked goods! These cookies are particularly delicious with a hot cup of chai tea.
